Information You Provide
When you use a search form, the name, phone number, or address you enter is sent to the third-party provider that powers those results. We do not store a separate copy of your searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it only to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, the hosting systems for this site create standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to keep pages functioning and understand which Duarte records pages visitors use. Cookies or similar technologies may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use the data described above to operate Duarte People Search, troubleshoot technical issues, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell a visitor list, and we do not build profiles of individual users.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to government portals, Los Angeles County and California records offices, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each destination has its own privacy policy, and information you submit there is controlled by that site's rules, not ours. That includes sponsored search results, which are provided by a third-party company.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support vendors may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if valid legal process requires it; otherwise, we do not share visitor data.
How We Protect Your Data
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Because Duarte People Search does not offer user accounts, there is no site password or account profile of yours for us to maintain.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed to children and is intended for users who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive personal information uses, and avoid discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. Because we hold very little, most requests are narrow: we can search our contact mailbox and server logs and remove what we find when legally appropriate. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by the City of Duarte, Los Angeles County, California agencies, Los Angeles Superior Court, the LA County RR/CC, or the LA County Assessor are outside our control; removal or confidentiality requests for those records must go to the custodian office. California's Safe at Home program may be relevant for eligible people who need substitute-address protection.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
